Sunshine and the failing days of summer.

Fall is less a time of dying than a time of transformation and fortification.  The plants have either blow to seed, spreading next years generation to the wind or they are winding down, battening down for the winter, waiting to emerge the next year.  Bees do much the same, gathering as much food as possible, hunkering down and going dormant for the coldest part of the year.  In spring they emerge to fertilize and gather once again.

Autumn holds some of the most golden light.  Both sunflowers and bees catch this light and seem to glow from within.
